Lately, I had been feeling completely unmotivated. I stalked Pinterest all day, every day for the last few weeks in search of some serious inspiration. I kept coming across home office decor, and just home office pictures in general. I LOVED this marble look. I absolutely had to have it. There were a ton of Ikea Desk Hacks and I was absolutely bored with mine so I thought, why not try it? It was beats throwing it out and buying a new one any day! I later found a pin for @lifeannestyle on 5 DIY desk hacks and loved those too! I trolled Amazon for the perfect vinyl adhesive and finally narrowed my search down to this one. I wasn’t too yellow or beige looking, and it looked FRESH and CLEAN. Once it arrived I couldn’t wait to apply it and get things going. So let me just be COMPLETELY honest here, it was VERY hard. Of course I ran straight to doing it without any guidance or rulers involved. I simply read the instructions on the back (which are NOT enough), then went to work. I measured where I wanted it to start and end, but once I peeled off the adhesive and went to apply it? There were SO many air bubbles that I took it off and retried about 20 times. I was exhausted by the time it was finish. HUGE lesson learned here? Don’t do this by yourself. Get someone to hold the opposite end so you can lay the adhesive at the same time and more carefully. Other than that I LOVE the results and am super pleased and now inspired more than ever to work in this space!

As for everything else above, I’ll start with the first picture. I got the Gold Parfum Bottle at Z Gallerie. It was only $19.99! At the time they had a sale too for 20% home decor. Sign up for their emails and you’ll get it on sale too!. The books I got all on Amazon. In order as they appear: The Fashion Book, my mom bought be at Barnes and Noble. The Gospel According to COCO CHANEL, isms: Understanding Fashion, Icons of Fashion The 20th Century, and Fashionista: A Century of Style Icons. I bought them back in 2013 and they all cost me under $20 for all 4 books. The gold vase I bought at Walmart as a clear vase and spray painted it gold with that same spray paint from the last post. I have about 6 cans of those from my sisters wedding and am obsessed with spray painting anything gold πŸ™‚ The flowers I also nabbed at Walmart for $3!

The bubble stacked lamp, I bought from TJ Maxx for only $29.99, I have 2 others I bought from Marshalls too that are in other parts of my apartment. The Chanel vase, my cousins Renee and Kelsey DIY-ed for my siters wedding shower we threw for her. My cousin Renee, printed them out on sticker paper and found the perfect square shaped vases at Walmart to place them. She’s so creative, love her! We used real hydrangeas for the wedding but I found some nice faux ones at Michaels to replace them with after the shower was over.

The clear acrylic side table,I stumbled across literally walking out of Marshalls one day and almost knocked it over and was like *heart eyes emoji*. It was $99 and it first I was like, whaaaaaa??!!. But after standing there and googling it and seeing it online for almost double that price, I politely took it to the register and swiped away!. I saw one on Zara Home for $170 but its the closest one to it and stunning. The decor on top I bought ALL at Home Goods. I live in those 3 stores btw, TJ Maxx, Marshalls and Home Goods.

What are you favorite Home Decor stores? And what motivates YOU, or keeps you inspired? πŸ™‚
