Cyber Monday Fashion/Tech Gameplan

December 1, 2014

[show_boutique_widget id=”196616″]

So for cyber monday, a lot our fave stores like Asos, Nasty Gal, Zara and even our secret fave NY boutique Necessary Clothing will probably have the same sales as before if not better, so let me gear you up with my best and fave picks ahead of time. This way you can pre-game yourself for when the clock strikes midnight and all through out the day. So first let me start with the things I’m coveting right now. Tech stuff. For those of you that are creators in any kind of way, artists, aspiring photogs, aspiring bloggers/youtubers, this may be helpful to you. First, an iMac. If you edit a lot you will want AND need this. A part of the reason I’m never motivated when its time to edit is because doing it on a laptop gets annoying with a tiny track pad and after a while with a wireless mouse. So to complete my home office, an iMac was only the next sensible move and necessary investment into my brand as a blogger and youtuber.  I found Best Buy to be the ONLY retailer that had deals/discounts on them for Black Friday ($200 off!), so Cyber Monday should be good too!

Then, I bought the black version of that camel coat from Asos. I also wanted to get it in grey too but sis said I was OD-ing, so chill. Its actually not too late, I may still scoop it anyway *covers eyes*. One can never have too many coats living in New York. I bought some black ripped jeans, which I’ve been dying to get for ages. Then from Zara I bought some leopard and leather shoes and then these lace up ankle boots as well (like I needed more of those, smh). So go for it friends!!! Have at these picks and do come back here to tell what deals you found and if these picks helped you in any way!…. Now, back to MY shopping! xoxox

Like: The Wrap Coat

November 1, 2014

The wrap coat is back and in full effect. I actually first saw it on Kim K last season, but fashion usually takes a while to get around to most mainstream stores. Well, now that it’s here and accessible to all, I’ve been on an all out fashion hunt for a nice one at a great price. Neiman Marcus has this gooooorgeous one you see above for $195 with a $50 off a purchase of $200 or more! So off I go to add some clearance item to my cart now to get my gorgeous wrap coat in black! 🙂

Sweater Weather and Conversations

Sweater weather at Forever 21 has me wanting to scoop up a few fall essentials and these colors will make it an effortless wardrobe update. And Im loving these bangs on this model. I’m thinking about trying it. Bangs for fall? or nah? What do you think? I need to get my “Fall” life together anyway. Its about to get cold and Idk if I’m ready for it. My lease ends in a few months and I have no idea what I want to do and its making me feel a little unprepared and a little uneasy. I mean I could always go with the flow but I feel like this is too major to “just go with the flow” right? Idk, some way it always seems to work itself out though, so I guess I just need to relax. Breathe. Sometimes all you need is a small conversation with yourself, just to bring you back down to life. I like having small convos with myself, lol. Does anyone else do that?

I think I’m really talking to God because I know he’s within me. Conversations with God. Ahhhh, peace. That’s the best book I’ve ever read, it’s by Neale Donald Walsch, “Conversations with God”. You should check it out. It was recommended to me when I was about 22, fresh out of college, young, lost and confused. If that’s how you feel or where you are in life I def recommend reading that book. It literally guided my path and brought me to where I am today. I met Eric Benét once and I dont know how we got to start talking about life but I guess because he thought I was young, had so much personality and had all my life ahead of me we got on the topic. He asked me what I wanted to become and I couldn’t answer. I didn’t know. He told me to read 3 books. The first, was “the Secret” by Rhonda Byrne. I’m sure you’ve all heard of it. If not check it out. After that he said to read “Conversations with God” by Neale Donald Walsch. Like the young eager beaver I was I pulled out my phone and carefully wrote down these books and I went out and bought and read them. It never came at a better time. He recommended a 3rd book but by the time I got to the 2nd book I’d gotten a new phone and didn’t have the last book written down anywhere else :-(. If I ever see Eric Benét (crazy odds) I wonder if he’ll remember the conversation and tell me that last book.

I’m excited about this vacay but I’m starting to feel the pressure of getting everything done that I need to before I go. So we have a good 4 days before the flight but there’s so much to do that I’m trying to squeeze it all in before I go. One, and the MOST important, getting a wax appt. I’ve been nair-ing for so long that I haven’t had a steady wax place in ages, so I have no idea who or where to go. I made a few calls to the European Wax Center near my apt and then to some friends back in Atlanta to see where they go since my bf lives there. The Euro Wax Center had some pretty mixed, and scary reviews on yelp. Yelp is the bible for reviews on places, I LIVE by it!. The one lady a yelper recommended that is awesome has NO appts available for the days or times I can go. So then I spoke with my sisssy’s bff Ashley, and she recommended Sweet Peach Waxing Studio in Atlanta and then I remembered I saw an article about them in a magazine so Sweet Peach it is! I’ll let you guys know how it goes! 😉

Then there’s the million and one other things, cleaning up after I’ve torn the room a part packing, then I have 2 videos to shoot for Agave/ULTA and for a hair company that sent me some clip ins (how do you ladies feel about clip ins anyway?). Then I have to get my hair done. THEN there are posts to schedule while I’m away, cuz I wont be attached to my computer! all relaxation baby!. I could go on and on and on, you get it right?
