Do Your Own Nails at Home

Back in December, I uploaded this video to my Youtube channel and began a journey to start doing my own nails at home. The nail salons were getting more crowded and more expensive. Well, now with whats going on in the world today, we all have to stay in and cant go to the nails salon for nails services any more. So until that changes? I got youuuuu. I experimented, tried and successfully learned how to do my own nails extensions at home. I even recently started doing my own gel manicures successfully too! I’ll share that next! See the tutorial below if you’re interested!

Now, I will say, after doing my nails a few more times after this I learned more helpful steps along the way to help my nails last longer and avoid lifting. Something I learned after filming this video was to prime my nails before the application with a primer . The primer will help the product adhere to you natural nail better after filing the surface a bit to add texture.

This helped me tremendously with lifting around the cuticles. That was the only area I found lifting after a bout a week or so. After I learned that, I ended up stretching my nails to 2 weeks sometimes 3. It’s a crucial step to prime each nail. And then, when I am priming it, I mainly focus on my cuticles and corners of my nails.

These supplies cost me about the same as one visit to the salon with tip. They’ve since raised the prices a bit too since I filmed this video in December, of course because the demand for them is a bit higher now than before. Mainly because of whats going on now. But no more than $5-10 I found. And even then, they’re still worth the investment to learn how to do this for yourself and save yourself some money in the long run.

Let me know how they work for you if you try this tutorial and like it! I’d love to see how it worked out for you! Tag me in your pics or please comment so I know to check you out! πŸ™‚
